 Build a Future Foundation

Build a Future Foundation - Please Donate!

Build the future foundation, established in 2018. In collaboration with Unity Stage School to offer subsidiary funds for young people in the Tameside area who are wanting to access Stage / Performance training but due to personal circumstances their families or carers do not have the disposable income to support this.

We know that because of Covid and inflation in basic living costs, some families from the local area may be faced with hardships they did not foresee before the Pandemic. Even prior to the pandemic, certain families would face hardships and the children would not be able to access the arts or social groups where they can grow as a person and in social situations whilst also developing skills in different areas.

We would like to be an organisation that sees past the hardships and offers tuition to all, regardless of their background or personal situation. The BTF foundation has been created for those who fall into a specific criteria to offer significant reduction in class costs or in some circumstances a waiver of fees. We are offering this so we can widen our student body and help more young people find a home and a group where they feel accepted and welcomed. A place where there is no judgement and they can learn transferable skills such as public speaking, working in a group, communicating with others and setting and achieving personal goals.

Unity Stage School have offered subsidiary fees to many students over the years within our group and we have seen these students flourish either academically or socially. We have helped young people realise their potential and opened doors for them to continue their professional training in Further and Higher education or in a more competitive setting. We hope that with the implementation of the Foundation we can open doors and work with Children’s Homes, CAMHs, Local Authorities and other youth projects working in the Tameside area to offer an extra curricular activity for children and young people aged 2-18.

We will be looking to develop some fundraising activities throughout the year. Including offering activities for other target groups such as OAPs, people in Supported Accommodation and other vulnerable groups to help establish a solid community link to showcase ourselves as a positive and well-rounded program. If you are interested in supporting our mission, please feel free to become one of our partners by using our Contact Form or press the Donate button to follow the link to our Virtual Jar. Every penny will be going directly into helping these young people and growing our community.
